Simone Holtznagel has showed off the injuries she sustained during filming on SAS Australia, with the Playboy model admitting it “really hurts … everywhere”.

Following her early exit from the show, Holtzngal, 28, posted a video to Instagram where she posed in a black bikini and pointed to the painful-looking bruises across her body.

“These are my f***ing bruises,” she said. “It really hurts, like everywhere.”

Last season, model Erin Holland shared a similar post to Instagram, revealing the brutal toll of her brief SAS experience.

The former Miss World Australia left the reality show after just two days as the second celeb to voluntarily quit following socialite Brynne Edelsten’s departure on day one.

Taking to Instagram the morning after bowing out, Holland showed followers just how tough the physical challenges were on her body, telling fans there were more tasks to endure that didn’t make it to air.

“THE AFTERMATH,” wrote the model alongside snaps of her in a black singlet and undies with multiple bruises visible on her arms and legs.

“A raw look at what a few days of selection looked like (plus a sore back from 90+ kilos on it),” she added, referring to the moment she was forced to carry actor Dan Ewing on her shoulders by the tough-talking instructors.

“@sasaustralia is unlike anything I’ve ever experienced. It’s 24/7 – so many tasks that can’t possibly all make it to air! SO much respect for my fellow recruits still toughing it out in there – it only gets wilder from here,” she said.

But certainly one of the most horrifying injuries seen on SAS Australia was sustained by Shannan Ponton in 2020.

The former Biggest Loser trainer, who lost 5kg during two weeks of filming, got hypothermia twice during the gruelling physical challenges in freezing temperatures, resulting in frostbite.

Ponton told The Morning Show that he “lost the top of all my fingers to frostbite” on the show and said he would wake up with blood running out of his fingers.

“Anyone who’s had a paper cut on their fingers, it’s like having a thousand of those,” he said.

Ponton also provided TMS with photos of his body that were taken after SAS Australia had finished filming.

“You can see the veins on my stomach and everything,” he said. “And when the water gets on the veins, it literally makes your blood cold. “It was hard to keep the weight on with the volume of training we were doing.”

Ponton added that one of his bouts of hypothermia came as he was exiting the icy cold Lake Jindabyne.

“As I was walking uphill, everything went a psychedelic green and then you just black out,” he said.

“I totally and utterly lost my memory – my body core temperature was at 34 degrees, and everyone knows you should be at 36.7 degrees.

“They had to rip the clothes off me and put warm clothes on.”
