VIEWERS watching adventurer Bear Grylls’ latest reality show have been shocked by a surprise cameo on an otherwise deserted island — from a sex toy.

The latest episode of The Island with Bear Grylls screened in the UK this week, showing a group of contestants battling against the elements while marooned on a desert island. Grylls serves as narrator for the series.

In one cutaway scene, a large crab was shown scuttling along the beach, an even larger black sex toy discarded in the background.

Yep, that's ... exactly what you think it is.

Viewers immediately took to social media to check if their eyes were deceiving them.

Following the brief cutaway, the item in question was picked up by one of the contestants and brought back to camp.

“I’ve got a present for you! It’s amazing what you find on the beach,” said one contestant, brandishing it in the others’ faces.

Did you have to bring it back to camp?

“Oh my God! I don’t know where that’s been, get it away from me,” yelled another, while one contestant piped up with some expert commentary: “It’s a bit lightweight for a proper dildo.”

No word on whether the item was tossed back out to sea or whether any of the contestants held onto it to liven up their stay on the island.
