Desperate Housewives call for desperate measures – and that’s certainly the case on the Real Housewives of Sydney.
Tuesday’s episode of the BINGE series sees former Real Housewives of Melbourne star Jackie Gillies called upon to enlist her psychic and life coaching services to help heal the fractured Sydney cast, but it all goes pear-shaped from the get-go.
Jackie, who appeared on all five seasons of RHOM before it wrapped in 2021, was already a renowned psychic medium before she joined the franchise in 2014. Today, she is well-respected among the Housewives, including RHOS’ Terry Biviano who invited Jackie to be an impartial party while hosting a healing event for the Sydney set.

“When I was asked by Terry to come on, she was like, ‘Jackie, I want you to try and help this group because there’s so much fracture in the group,’” Jackie tells news.com.au ahead of Tuesday’s episode.
“It was a no-brainer for me because I have been in this dynamic before. In fact, I’ve been in worse situations within my own friendship group over the years, probably more than these ladies have been.”
She speaks the truth. On the RHOM, Jackie and her castmates endured pillow fights and screaming matches at the reunion, showdowns at every dinner table including one in the Dubai desert, and called each other names such as “insignificant arse hair”. Safe to say Jackie knows a thing or two about conflict resolution.

“I just know that taking accountability and looking at what it is that you’ve done and really looking at your part, will help this group heal,” she says.
“Everyone plays a part in the fracture of this group. All they have to do is take accountability and responsibility and everything can change with a single thought of wanting to change and move on.”
However, like any Housewives gathering – whether it be brunch, dinner, drinks or a vagina painting session – the healing event was as explosive as ever, with Krissy Marsh up and leaving mid-session.
Among the participants are Dr Kate Adams, Caroline Gaultier, newbie Martine Chippendale and, as mentioned, Terry and Krissy. Sally Obermeder and Victoria Montano were out of town during the event, and Nicole O’Neil was a last-minute no-show, which infuriated Terry.
For a refresher, Terry is beefing with Nicole after she accused Terry of being late for an outing in Japan; Kate is beefing with Caroline for her apparent sly remarks; and Krissy is beefing with Terry for beefing with Nicole. No wonder why the cast didn’t break out in kumbayas at Jackie’s healing event.
“There’s a lot of ego here. When I say ego, I’m not saying ego in the sense of, ‘Oh, look at me. I’m amazing.’ It’s more in the sense of where some of them think that how they’re acting is not wrong,” Jackie says.
“The other problem I feel is there’s a lot of jealousy towards some of the other ladies. I don’t care how much money you’ve got, where you come from, who you think you are, everybody’s on the same level.”
It wasn’t all daggers and designer bags. At the start of the event, the ladies arrived in their boho-themed outfits. Expect Caroline, who thought the dress code was “hobo” and refused to dress that way. So she rocked a red furry coat and hat over her all-black ensemble, which caused Kate to quip that “only the devil turns up to a healing event in red”.
“In the beginning, they were all willing, open and receptive, but it was almost like they were triggered by their experiences with whoever they’ve had those experience with – and it went like left field. It was gnarly. There’s so much anger in this group,” Jackie says.
What differentiates Sydney from the Melbourne cast is their inability to come together at the end of the day, Jackie concludes.
“Us ladies in Real Housewives of Melbourne, we had ebbs and flows, conflict and resolution. There is no resolution here,” Jackie says.
“At the end of the session of whatever we were filming or arguing about on RHOM, we’d all sit around and have a drink and have a laugh.”
“It was more like a family thing where it’s like, ‘F**k this.’ But we didn’t allow it to become a fracture within the group. And this is what I don’t want to see with these guys.”
Having said that, Jackie believes she and her OG castmates, Gina Liano, Gamble Breaux, Chyka Keebaugh, Janet Roach, Lydia Schiavello and Pettifleur Berenger, bring the drama more than their Sydney counterparts.
“I feel like Melbourne have a good layer – they’re all very beautiful women and they’re all very intelligent. They all bring something special to the table. They know who they are, they stand in their own truth, and they’re also very opinionated.”
“Sometimes I watch the show back and I start laughing and go, ‘Oh my God, did we really all say that?’”
So would she ever sign up to a RHOM reboot if the opportunity presented itself? In a heartbeat, she says, even if she’s got her plate full with her growing psychic readings waitlist, TransformU coaching courses, and 3-year-old twin boys she shares with her husband, Silverchair drummer Ben Gillies.
“The fans want Real Housewives in Melbourne back, and I believe it’s time to bring them back,” she says. “I feel like it’s time to rewind. You’ve got to bring the old school cast back.”
