AACTA 2025 film and TV nominations revealed

AACTA has announced the nominations for its 2025 awards ceremony, and one drama has managed to break records for the most nods ever.

How To Make Gravy - official trailer

The Australian Academy of Cinema Television Arts (AACTA) has unveiled the nominees for the 2025 awards ceremony.

When it comes to film, leading the race is the Robbie Williams-inspired Better Man, which has picked up a record-breaking 16 nominations.

It’s followed closely behind by George Miller’s Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga and BINGE’s How to Make Gravy which both secured 15.

Horror-favourite Late Night with the Devil and animated flick Memoir of a Snail have also picked up a flurry of nominations.

It’s been a huge year for television too, with the critically acclaimed Boy Swallows Universe dominating with 22 nominations, the most nominations for any production in AACTA history. Far behind but not to be shrugged at is Dylan River’s Thou Shalt Not Steal with nine nods, while Colin From Accounts and The Artful Dodger both have an impressive eight nominations each.
