Top End revheads can breath a sigh of relief knowing the Darwin Triple Crown is back on the calendar for another year.
The pinnacle of motorsports on the NT calendar, the 2025 Triple Crown will be the 29th Supercars event held in Darwin, and with an updated schedule on the cards for season ‘25, the DTC has been pushed back a week and will run from June 20 to 22.
Welcomed by the drivers as a much needed winter getaway, the DTC will retain its standing as the official Indigenous round on the calendar, and fans can expect to see the bright and colourful custom Indigenous liveries and artwork on the cars and team apparel.
The ‘25 season will open under lights in Sydney (February 21-23), then will visit every state and territory, as well as returning to New Zealand following this season’s sold out Taupō event.
Ipswich is also back on the cards after a brief hiatus from the sport putting the competition to 13 events, and a third trip to Queensland.
“We’re thrilled about the strategic additions and shifts in the calendar, including moving Sandown to a November date and debuting an endurance round at The Bend,” Supercars chief executive Shane Howard said.
“Like all fans, the crew at Repco are thrilled to see an expanded 2025 Repco Supercars Championship calendar,” added Wayne Bryant.
“The calendar continues to be stacked with popular circuits, iconic destinations, and of course, the holy grail, the Repco Bathurst 1000 in October.”
The 2024 Repco Bathurst 1000 takes place this weekend, October 10-13, as the championship gears up for its crown jewel event, and will have two Territory talents tearing up the tarmac with Bryce Fullwood in the Supercars and Rossi Johnson in the SuperUtes.
