A BIOGRAPHY has made startling claims about iconic Star Wars actress Carrie Fisher’s private life and how she had affairs with two high-profile music stars.

According to film historians Darwin Porter and Danforth Prince, Fisher had affairs with music rock legends Freddie Mercury and David Bowie back in 1973.

Fisher would have been 17, a teenager at the time.

The biography, titled Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds: Princess Leia & Unsinkable Tammy in Hell, recounts how Fisher was training at the Royal Central School of Speech and Drama in London, when she was introduced to them after she went to a party with her famous mother Debbie Reynolds.

Reynolds had been invited to the party by Rolling Stones’ star Mick Jagger.

Porter tells of how the details of Fisher’s affair with Bowie were disclosed to him after he spoke to actress Joan Hackett in 1983.

The book claims that Fisher found herself attracted to Bowie because he “had made the world a better place for rebels, oddballs, and misfits like me”.

According to the book Fisher had told Hackett that Bowie “seemed to survive for days on brain-sizzling cocaine, drinking only milk for nourishment”.

At the time, Bowie would’ve been married to his first wife, model Angie Bowie.

As for her alleged affair with Mercury, the book states: “In addition to an endless parade of boys and young men on the side, Mercury occasionally seduced a young woman and had a long-time relationship with Mary Austin … Carrie said she didn’t want to interfere with his ongoing love affair, but he dismissed her concerns.”

Mercury was in a long-term relationship with Austin, who was a shopgirl at the time.

Fisher’s alleged affairs would have taken place four years before she landed her groundbreaking role as Princess Leia in George Lucas’ first Star Wars film, Star Wars: A New Hope.

Fisher passed away in December 2016. Before her death, she was not afraid of revealing private details about her past lovers.

In her own autobiography titled The Princess Diarist that she released in 2016, she revealed that she had a three-month affair with co-star Harrison Ford in 1976.

The Hollywood stars were filming Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope together.

At the time, Ford was still married to his first wife chef Mary Marquardt.

It is difficult to verify the authenticity of the biography’s claims given Reynolds, Fisher, Mercury and Bowie have all passed away.

Fisher dated and was married to Paul Simon for a year between 1983 and 1984. She also dated Dan Aykroyd in the late 1970s and early 1980s of Ghostbuster fame.

She later fell in love with talent agent Bryan Lourd and they were together from 1991-1994. They had a daughter, Billie Lourd, who is now 25. She starred alongside Fisher in the Star Wars sequel film Episode VII: The Force Awakens.

Fisher’s last role in the Star Wars franchise was in Episode VIII: The Last Jedi.

Fisher’s brother Todd previously suggested she would feature in Star Wars Episode IX after revealing to the New York Daily News that he and Billie Lourd had given Disney and LucasFilm permission to use recent footage of the late actress.

But LucasFilm president Kathleen Kennedy has confirmed that Fisher will not appear in Episode IX.

She told America’s ABC News: “ [Todd] was probably confused because we finished everything in [Episode VIII]. [Fisher’s] absolutely phenomenal in the movie and we were so happy to complete shooting in the summer.

“Unfortunately [Fisher] passed away, so by the time we were well underway with Episode IX, in our thoughts we had not written the script yet but we regrouped, we started over in January.”

The upcoming biography, titled Carrie Fisher & Debbie Reynolds: Princess Leia & Unsinkable Tammy in Hell, is available now.
