PRIMING up for his performance at tomorrow’s Rebound concert, rapper Illy is enjoying his time in the Top End – a far cry from the lockdown of his home town, Melbourne.
Hitting the water yesterday, Illy indulged in a jetski tour of Darwin, while he has also enjoyed the freedoms Darwin has to offer.

“It’s already worth it to be honest, we’re able to go to a pub, hang with our friends and be outside after 8pm so it’s good up here,” he said.
“I always looking forward to come up here, usually when Melbourne is miserable, Darwin’s perfect so it’s a nice change of pace.”
Performing at Rebound 2020 tomorrow night, the rapper was excited to be getting in front of crowds again.
“This is the first show we’ve played at with a crowd in seven months so I’m pretty excited for it,” he said.
“Darwin’s a good place to be and it’s a good place for creative juices to flow.”
“Darwin’s been really fortunate with their case numbers, they haven’t slacked around and wasted time in getting back to normal and I think that’s the best way to approach it.
