Psy’s Gangnam Style video breaks YouTube view counter with more than 2.1 billion views

KIM Kardashian may have bragged that her naked bum photos broke the internet — but seems she’s been beaten by Korean pop sensation Psy, who has forced YouTube to rejigg their counter.
YouTube has announced that it’s had to upgrade its view counter after Psy’s mega-hit Gangnam Style maxed out the counter with a whopping 2.1 billion views.
The original limit was set up on the assumption that no view would ever be so popular that it would be viewed more than 2.1 billion times.
The video has already exceed that limit by 5 million views.
“We never thought a video would be watched in numbers great than a 32-bit integer (=2,1247,483,647 views), but that was before we met PSY”, said YouTube. “Gangnam Style has been viewed so many times we have to upgrade!”
