PAUL Hogan’s ex-wife has revealed the famous actor didn’t speak to her for 17 years after their divorce.
Noelene Hogan and Paul Hogan were married for 30 years and had five children together before he left her for his Crocodile Dundee co-star, Linda Kozlowski.
Fun fact: Kozlowski was born in the same year that Paul and Noelene were married.
In 2013 Hogan told the Herald Sun that “there was no real bitterness” when he split from Noelene.
“I’ve seen that written up as one of the ugliest, bitterest divorces in Australian show business history,” he said.
“Was it ugly and bitter because of the money fight? Never happened. Was it the custody battle? Never happened.
“Was it the public mud-slinging and fights in restaurants? Never happened.
“But someone decided it was ugly, and whoever decided that gets quoted all the time. Well, it wasn’t a nice, happy divorce, but there was nothing sort of gross about it.
“There was no real bitterness. And we still talk.”
But Noelene told Woman’s Day that’s a lie, saying, “He doesn’t even speak to me”.
Now in her late 70s, Noelene told the magazine that she doesn’t want to be in the public eye and is worried about how she’ll be portrayed in Channel Seven’s upcoming miniseries, Hoges.
“Nobody’s talked to me,” she said about the TV series, “Nobody’s told me about it”.
Josh Lawson is set to play Paul Hogan in the show and Play School presenter Justine Clarke will play Noelene.
“I don’t even know who that is,” Noelene said to Woman’s Day when she was told about Clarke’s casting.
Hoges is set to air on Channel Seven next year.
