Taylor Swift has been spotted at a zoo in Sydney’s west in a surprise public outing between her Australian concerts.

Swift has four shows scheduled in Sydney, spanning from February 23-26, giving her four days off in the aftermath of her last appearance at the MCG on Sunday.

While the singer largely remained within her luxurious penthouse at Crown Towers, in the CBD, during her stay in Melbourne, she has ventured out in Sydney multiple times.

On Tuesday night, she was seen having dinner with her supporting act, Sabrina Carpenter, at an Italian restaurant in Surry Hills. Swift reportedly declined to book out the whole restaurant, Pellegrino 2000, meaning she enjoyed her evening alongside stunned fellow customers.

Naturally, word of her presence spread quickly, and hordes of her fans were to be found waiting outside the restaurant as the famous duo exited later in the evening.

On Wednesday, Swift visited Accor Stadium – the city’s Olympics stadium – to conduct a sound check before travelling to Sydney Zoo, in the western Sydney suburb of Bungarribee, near Mt Druitt.

Accompanied by members of her entourage, including some of her backup dancers, Swift toured the section of the zoo where native Australian animals are kept.

Swift was dressed casually in a pair of sneakers, T-shirt and a denim skirt with sunglasses.

According to The Daily Telegraph, she was subsequently spotted arriving for dinner at Nobu, a Japanese restaurant inside Sydney’s Crown Towers. The venue is known for its sushi rolls.

At that point, Swift was reportedly dressed in a high-necked gown. She dined in a private room, from which fellow diners heard laughter and, at one point, the sound of people singing Happy Birthday.

There are fears among fans that at least one of Swift’s Sydney shows may end up being cancelled or delayed, with the Bureau of Meteorology issuing a severe thunderstorm warning for both Friday and Saturday.

Swift has previously gone on with the show amid heavy rain in Sydney during her 2018 Reputation tour, but lightning warnings this time around may make it riskier.

Eighty thousand people are expected to attend each night’s show – slightly fewer than watched her Saturday performance in Melbourne. The 96,000-strong crowd was her largest to date, and the singer admitted she was struggling to wrap her head around it.

“What a joy and what an honour to say this words to you tonight, Melbourne, welcome to the Eras Tour!” she gushed.

“I am standing here on the stage, trying to wrap my mind around the fact that there are 96,000 people that wanted to hang out with us on a Saturday night.”

Swift added: “I feel like a contest winner, like I won a contest to get to have this memory of looking at you an singing with you.

“I’m having a very strange experience in my head.

“I don’t know if you know how many 96,000 is – like, if we were to start counting, we’d never get there.

“I am so grateful to you for wanting to spend this time with us, and just the passion I’m feeling from you already, I promise you – we are going to give you absolutely everything we have tonight.”

Sydney’s fans will be hoping for a similar spectacle.
