‘Leak it’: Dua Lipa’s surprise act at Aussie concert

Dua Lipa surprised fans at her Melbourne gig with an Aussie A-list guest – then orchestrated her own online leak mid-show.

An unreleased Dua Lipa song has leaked online – and it was the star’s own doing, after she orchestrated the leak herself during her Melbourne show on Saturday night.

Lipa is in Australia at the moment as part of her Radical Optimism tour, and her initial five-show stint at Melbourne’s Rod Laver arena was big on surprises, including a different Aussie cover song each night (among them Kylie’s Can’t Get You Out of My Head and Natalie Imbruglia’s Torn) and a cameo from homegrown pop star Troye Sivan during Saturday’s show.

The pair duetted on Sivan’s own hit Rush, before they entered the crowd together to deliver an unusual gift to one lucky fan.

Front row footage from the concert shows Lipa holding a pink USB in her hand, which she said she’d hand over to a fan who agreed to follow one instruction: “Leak it.”

After some deliberation, she opted for one concertgoer who claimed she’d been at the venue for the past 24 hours, waiting to get the best spot.

And it seems the fan kept their promise to leak whatever was on the USB – in the hours following the concert, a previously unreleased Dua Lipa / Troye Sivan song, duet version of her 2020 hit Physical, has surfaced online.

Lipa’s two-city Australian tour moves to Sydney on Wednesday for a further three sold out shows at Qudos Bank Arena.

Lipa’s Aussie visit comes after the singer reportedly got engaged to her boyfriend, actor Callum Turner, at the end of last year. But there’s been no sign of theBritish Masters of the Air star so far during her stay down under: Instead, Lipa has brought her younger brother Gijin along for the trip.
