Halle Berry is fuming at Drake for using an image of her getting slimed at the 2012 Nickelodeon Kids’ Choice Awards as the cover art for his new single.
After a fan asked why she’s so “mad” since the photo is “owned by Getty Images”, the actress claimed the Canadian rapper initially reached out to her for permission and she turned him down, reports Page Six.
“Cuz he asked me and I said NO that’s why,” Berry, 57, responded in her Instagram comments.
“Why ask if you intend to do what you want to do ! That was the f**k you to me. Not cool You get it️?”
Drake’s rep did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The Catwoman star’s clarification comes two days after she slammed the Grammy-winning artist for using the image to promote his song with SZA, Slime You Out.
Berry expressed her disapproval by posting a message to Instagram on Friday that read, “Sometimes you have to be the bigger guy … even if you’re a woman!”
“[Drake] didn’t get my permission,” the Oscar winner replied to a user asking what she thought about Drake’s cover art.
“That’s not cool. I thought better of him!”
The Bruised actress further addressed the situation with the Nonstop rapper, commenting, “When people you admire disappoint you you have to be the bigger person and move on!”
Drake, 36, has not directly responded to the feud, but he appeared to weigh in on the drama with a cryptic post shared to his Instagram Story Saturday night.
He posted a photo of himself with his back to the camera in a T-shirt that read, “What the hell is going on?”
The rapper, born Aubrey Drake Graham, captioned the image, “literally tho…”
The music superstar’s new track with SZA is featured on his forthcoming album, For All the Dogs, which he announced would be released on October 6.
