Australian Olivia Rodrigo fans have been left raging after some were left unable to get tickets to the star’s tour.

Some fans have taken to social media to claim they have been kicked off the site with “Access Denied” messages.

Many have lashed out at Ticketek over their struggles, however, the company has insisted to news.com.au that there were absoutely zero issues with their platform.

Instead, numerous fans had taken to using multiple browsers in a bid to get tickets, a method that Ticketek has revealed can sadly impact customer experience when attempting to buy tickets.

“Your online ticketing platform is a technical and user experience abomination,” ranted one fan of Rodrigo. “I’ve been hit with Access Denied errors on three different devices each using two different browsers.”

“I’m still getting ‘access denied’, across multiple devices,” complained another, with a third tweeting a screenshot of the same error message.

Another lashed out, saying: “I got let in and was going to buy these tickets, and then got hit with the ‘access denied’ screen.”

A fifth fan claimed they’d only been using one browser, alleging: “WHY AM I GETTING ACCESS DENIED WITH ONE BROWSER OPEN????” with another claiming the same, adding: “Over and over for days. No other browser open!”

Following the wave of complaints from fans, Ticketek insisted in a statement to news.com.au that sales had proceeded “without issue” and urged fans not withdraw from using multiple browsers in the future.

“Today‘s on sale for the fourth Sydney Show for Olivia Rodrigo’s Guts World Tour proceeded without issue. Demand was incredibly high, and tickets have sold strongly for all four shows in Sydney.

“We encourage all customers not to use multiple browsers when trying to access tickets. Our systems are designed to prevent and block access from bots, and customers attempting to access the site with multiple browsers may be flagged by our bot prevention service.

“We are confident that these rules we have in place protect the real fans and allow them access and opportunity to purchase tickets to their favourite events,” added the company.

Meanwhile, a limited number of $20 Silver Star tickets had been made available for all shows, with Rodrigo saying she wanted to make it as affordable as possible for her fans.

A portion of Rodrigo’s proceeds from ticket sales will go to Olivia Rodrigo’s Fund 4 Good, which funds initiatives that support girls’ education, reproductive rights and prevents gender-based violence.
