US superstar Kane Brown is the latest American country music sensation to throw their hat into the Australian box office ring.

Brown, who headlined the king-making CMC Rocks festival in Queensland in 2022 and sold out his Sydney and Melbourne sideshows, will step up to arenas around the country in November.

The Australian leg of his In The Air world tour kicks off at the Brisbane Entertainment Centre on November 16 and then heads to Sydney’s Qudos Bank Arena on November 19, Rod Laver Arena in Melbourne on November 22 and Perth’s RAC Arena on November 25.

Brown’s tour comes after American country chart stars Morgan Wallen, Luke Combs, Morgan Evans and Lainey Wilson drew rapturous responses from hundreds of thousands of fans at sold-out arena shows and festival performances over the past 16 months.

Beyonce fans remain hopeful she will announce Australian dates for her Cowboy Carter tour for late 2024 or early 2025. Tanner Adell, one of the emerging country artists who sang on Beyonce’s version of The Beatles’ Blackbird, will be performing at the Ridin’ Hearts festival shows in Sydney and Melbourne in November.

Tickets to American star Chris Stapleton’s concerts in Australia next March sold out in under an hour and 2024 tours by Kip Moore and Tyler Hubbard are also selling strongly.

“The new generation of artists are realising they can have careers outside of the US,” said Frontier Touring’s Susan Heymann, part of the team bringing many of the big name American stars to Australia via the hugely respected CMC Rocks festival.

“Until recently, they would have chosen a $1m offer to play a state fair two hours’ drive from their home rather than fly to Australia to play a festival for the same money.”

Country music is having its moment generating tens of millions of dollars at the concert box office but is a dominant presence on the pop charts and social media.

Kylie Minogue has been linedancing up a dust-storm with South African-born, US-based altcountry star Orville Peck for their track Midnight Ride on his duets album Stampede out on August 2.

Post Malone, who was also tapped by Beyonce to feature on Cowboy Carter, has returned to his enduring love affair with country music for his new record F-1 Trillion, out on August 16, which is absolutely stacked with big names including Combs and Stapleton.

The record’s first single I Had Some Help featured Wallen and is a top 5 hit here, while the second single Pour Me A Drink co-starring Blake Shelton debuted last week at No. 33 and should enjoy a decent jump this week.

And the majority of stayers on the ARIA top 50 singles,- songs with over a year in the chart, are country favourites including Zach Bryan’s Something in the Orange (93 weeks), Wallen’s Last Night (72 weeks), Comb’s Fast Car (60 weeks).

And our own global country star Keith Urban just announced he will release his new record High on September 20.
