Amazon’s shock move after Diddy arrest
One of the world’s biggest retailers has taken action following the controversy surrounding Sean “Diddy” Combs and his alleged crimes.

A best selling memoir that claims to tell the story of an abusive relationship between the late actor and model Kim Porter and her longtime partner, hip-hop mogul Sean ”Diddy” Combs, has been pulled from sale by Amazon.
Porter and Combs’ children slammed the memoir, titled “Kim’s Lost Words: A journey for justice, from the other side…”, as a complete fabrication after it became a bestseller on Amazon in September.
The book details the alleged physical abuse, sexual coercion and other acts of violence committed by Combs.
The $22 paperback had a quiet release on Amazon but skyrocketed after the news of Combs’ arrest and the shocking details of the indictment against him. He has pleaded not guilty.
“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement. “The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”
Author Todd Christopher Guzze told AP in September that sources “very close to Kim and Sean Combs” provided him with a “flash drive, documents and tapes” from Porter that he eventually pieced together to create the memoir.
Days later, Combs issued a statement from prison via his lawyer, calling the book “a fake”.
“The Kim Porter ‘memoir’ is fake. It is also offensive – a shameless attempt to profit from tragedy. Unlike the fabrications in his sickening ‘memoir’, it is an established fact that Ms Porter died of natural causes. May she rest in peace.”
The controversial memoir reached the top spot on Amazon’s bestseller’s list in September before it was removed this month.
It comes after in a press conference, lawyer Tony Buzbee alleged that the “day will come” when those associated with Combs’ alleged crimes will be revealed to the public.
“We will expose the enablers who enabled this conduct behind closed doors. We will pursue this matter no matter who the evidence implicates,” said Buzbee, who is representing over 100 alleged victims of the rapper.
“The day will come when we will name names other than Sean Combs, and there’s a lot of names. It’s a long list already, but because of the nature of this case, we are going to make damn sure – damn sure – that we’re right before we do that,” he continued, adding: “The names will shock you.”
He went on to urge those who may be named to come forward before that happens, and suggested that some are “desperately” trying to cover their tracks.
“These people who know who they are should just come forward now,” Buzbee shared. “I would imagine that as we speak here, there are a myriad of people who are very nervous. You can’t hide skeletons in the closet forever. I would expect there are many people out there right now who are desperately searching their memories as they delete their texts and data.”
