Nicolas Cage in ‘freak accident’ on movie set in Bulgaria
NICOLAS Cage has flown back to the US after an accident on location in Bulgaria while shooting his latest action film.

NICOLAS Cage has broken his ankle on the set of the bank heist action film #211 in Bulgaria.
The 53-year-old was taken to a hospital near the set before flying back to Los Angeles for further treatment, a source told Variety.
Doctors wanted to operate immediately. But Cage insisted on flying back to California to have the operation.
It is unclear how Cage broke his ankle but Deadline reports it was the result of a “freak accident”.
It’s hoped Cage will to return to the set in a fortnight.
Millennium Films and Nu Image have not said how the actor’s absence will affect filming.
#211 follows a bank robbery with a good cop (Cage) trying to thwart the heist.
In police code, 211 means robbery in progress.
The film also stars Cage’s son, Weston.
