Love Actually sequel: Are Sam and Joanna a couple now?

PERHAPS we’re reading too much into these photos, but it looks like Sam and Joanna might be a couple in the upcoming Love Actually sequel.

IF THE first photos from the set of the Love Actually reunion are anything to go by, it looks like Sam and Joanna might have hooked up after all.

Some of the stars from the 2003 film were snapped shooting scenes for an upcoming short film which will air on March 24 as part of Comic Relief’s Red Nose Day special.

Thomas Brodie-Sangster [who played Sam] and Olivia Olson [who played Joanna] were spotted on set in London with Liam Neeson [who played Sam’s stepdad, Daniel], which might indicate that Sam’s romantic gesture at the airport at the end of the original movie might have won him Joanna’s heart.

Those three actors are just some of the original cast who will appear in the reunion special, with Colin Firth, Hugh Grant, Rowan Atkinson, Martine McCutcheon, Keira Knightley, Andrew Lincoln, Bill Nighy, Lucia Moniz, and Chiwetel Ejiofor all confirmed for cameos.

“We’ve been delighted and grateful that so many of the cast are around and able to take part — and it’ll certainly be a nostalgic moment getting back together and recreating their characters 14 years later,” the film’s director, Richard Curtis, said about the upcoming short film.
