FROM pop princess to wife swapping 1970s housewife, here’s Kylie Minogue as you’ve never seen her before.
In the first official photos from her upcoming film, Flammable Children, Minogue is pictured with former Neighbours actor Guy Pearce in classic 1970s attire and sporting a bowl haircut.
The film is loosely based on director Stephan Elliott’s eccentric childhood growing up in 1970s Dee Why, where behind closed doors, the mums and dads of a quiet suburban cul-de-sac are joining the sexual revolution and throwing a wife-swapping key party.
The satire also showcases a period in time where careless parenting, constant sunburn and unsupervised activities, are the norm.
Mr Elliott said the script, when he was finally ready to write it, jumped out of his head fully formed.
The 52-year-old, who also directed the cult classic The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert, has bagged a dream cast of actors alongside Minogue and Pearce, Radha Mitchell, Asher Keddie, renowned for her role in longstanding drama, Offspring, and Nip/Tuck actor Julian McMahon.
The movie, which was filmed on the Gold Coast, is now in post-production, and due for release at the end of the year, according to distributors, Becker Film Group.
