LADY Gaga performed as Beyonce’s Coachella replacement this year and the singer used her headline act to announce a number of big reveals.
Not only did she drop a new song The Cure, the singer also revealed via Instagram she is heading to the big screen to star in her first movie, A Star Is Born.
And, for fans wanting to be in the movie, Lady Gaga is giving them the opportunity, albeit as part of a massive crowd.
The singer posted an ad looking for extras to be a part of concert scenes while Gaga film on actual Coachella stages.
The scenes will be shot at Indio’s Empire Polo Club this Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tickets cost $US10 with all of the proceeds going to Gaga’s Born This Way Foundation.
The invitation encourages Gaga’s fans, affectionately known as Little Monsters, to “get decked out in your most comfortable denim and boots, throw on a Stetson (leave those pink Joanne hats at home) and come out to show your support!”
The scenes are also completely restricting phone use with attendees having to lock them in a Yondr pouch, a privacy pouch that stops them from opening it while in the “phone free space”.
A Star Is Born will feature Bradley Cooper in the lead role and will also be the actor’s directorial debut.
Gaga, who is going by her real name Stefani Germanotta for the movie, will play a young singer who becomes famous with the help of Cooper’s character as his own career declines.
The movie is slated for release in September next year.
