Tom Cruise has strutted his stuff down the red carpet at the Australian premiere of Mission Impossible - Dead Reckoning.
The acting heavyweight smiled as he swept between meeting fans and chatting with the media, looking every part the man who has done this six times before.
He was very much the star of the show for the Australian media, pausing to talk to Channel 9’s Richard Wilkins and The Project hosts Hamish Macdonald and Georgie Tunny.
He was also spotted talking to and interacting with the dozens of fans who had come out to watch the carpet, working the room while donning an all-black suit.
“Some of these people I‘ve seen for years. It’s lovely to come, there’s been flowers and beautiful cards,” he told the Project on the carpet.
It was also revealed that the Sydney premiere coincided with Mr Cruise’s birthday, with the 61-year-old putting the movie before his special day.
Some fans were quick to sing him happy birthday as he walked down the carpet, which Mr Cruise described as a “special” moment in an otherwise busy day.
Mr Cruise went on to tease the possibility of him returning to Australia to shoot more movies.
“There’s so much to shoot, it’s so vast and the geography is extraordinary, it’s beautiful,” he said.
“Even not a ‘Mission’, I’d like to just come back and film here again.”
