Anna Kendrick desperate to distance from Blake Lively amid ‘A Simple Favour 2’ promotional tour

Hollywood star Anna Kendrick has a new movie to promote with Blake Lively, but insiders claim she’s determined to do it alone.

Anna Kendrick is reportedly desperate to distance herself from co-star Blake Lively amid the controversial star’s legal woes.

Lively is currently locked in a bitter public feud with former co-star and director Justin Baldoni, and there is no sign of their battle letting up.

Kendrick and Lively are preparing for the release of their new movie, the first of Lively’s since her feud went public; the highly anticipated sequel to acclaimed black comedy A Simple Favour.

Another Simple Favour hits Amazon Prime on May 1st, and the promotional tour for the flick is set to begin next month.

However, unlike during the first movie, where Lively and Kendrick did the rounds together, this is set to be largely a one-woman show.

“It was originally planned that the two would do much of the promotion together. That’s what the studio requested, and Anna and Blake agreed to it,” a source told Daily Mail.

“But Anna could go it alone over fears she will get caught up in the drama,” continued the insider.

“In fact, Anna is prepared to handle the promotion responsibilities alone. She would prefer this because she does not want to have to dodge questions about Blake’s lawsuit or have every interview turn into a Lively v Baldoni Q&A session.”

To make matters worse, Lively and Kendrick faced numerous rumours while promoting the first movie that they weren’t getting along.

Awkward interview moments regularly went viral on social media, and their alleged feud has been brought up again in the wake of Lively’s latest backlash.

For instance, one viral interview saw Kendrick mocking Lively, quipping that she hadn’t realised how difficult Blake’s life was.

“Oh muffin, it’s so hard being you!” she said snarkily, which was followed by Kendrick snapping: “Don’t touch me,” when Blake made a gesture toward her, leading to an uncomfortable silence.

When announcing the movie on her Instagram last week, Kendrick received a wave of support from fans who hit out at her co-star.

“Nope nope nope. Sorry Anna, will watch the next one. Not supporting this movie or anything with Blake Lively in it,” remarked one.

“Love you Anna, but I can’t stand Blake more. Will not be watching this movie,” said another.
