Meghan reveals secret pre-wedding advice from ‘influential friend’

The Duchess of Sussex has revealed the advice she was given by a “very influential” friend before she walked down the aisle to marry Prince Harry.

Meghan Markle has revealed her close friend’s words of warning before her wedding to Prince Harry.

The Duchess of Sussex, 41, touched on the issue in the latest episode of her podcast, Archetypes, reports The Sun.

Meghan explored the stereotypes and judgments women face in the world of activism.

The episode, titled “The Audacity of the Activist”, had special guests Jameela Jamil and Shohreh Aghdashloo sharing their thoughts.

At one point, the Duchess revealed a private message that was shared with her just before her wedding to Prince Harry in 2018.

She claimed that a “very influential and inspiring woman” gave her some golden advice.

During her podcast Meghan said: “A message was shared with me just a few days before my wedding from a very, very influential and inspiring woman who, for her own privacy, I won’t share who it was with you.

“But she said to me, ‘I know that you’re life is changing but please don’t give up your activism. Don’t give up because it means to much to women and girls.’

“And I kept doing the work for women and girls because it matters, yes, but also because she encouraged me to do so.”

The couple married in front of 600 guests in a wedding estimated to have cost $56 million, including security.

Later in the episode, Meghan gave her best British accent a go as she mimicked guest Jameela Jamil in the podcast.

In last week’s Archetype’s episode, Meghan appeared to hit back at her “Duchess Difficult” label – slamming it as a “codeword for b**ch”.

She said the word “difficult” is used to “gaslight” strong women.

In another episode, Meghan revealed how she found the UK citizenship test “so hard” and would ask Harry questions.

The Duchess also gave a sneak peek into her relationship with her mum, sharing a FaceTime call and secret code they have.
