Fears Prince Harry’s bombshell memoir Spare was ‘sexed up’

Prince Harry has reportedly added more damaging revelations to his tell-all book after asking his ex-lovers to take part.

'We can do without you': Prince Harry and Meghan drop huge hint on royal future

Prince Harry had to submit his bombshell new memoir more than once before publishers accepted it — sparking royal fears it has been “sexed up” with revelations that will rock the monarchy.

The Sun reports that the Duke of Sussex begged his friends and former girlfriends to speak to his ghost-writer JR Moehringer.

Publishers Penguin Random House have refused to comment, but it is believed Prince Harry, was asked to “revisit” several aspects of his life story, The Sun reports.

The resulting autobiography Spare, a dig over his position as the “spare” to the heir Prince William, will be released on January 10 after being delayed by the Queen’s death.

A source told The Sun: “The book has been back and forth between Harry and JR Moehringer and the publishers a few times.

“They wanted more than was in the first draft, and then Harry wanted to refine things after the Queen passed away.

“But there has been extra toing and froing that people don’t know about. This is because the publishers wanted more areas covered and more detail on some things that were already included.

“There is a real concern that that means Harry has had to sex up the book and include revelations that even he might not even be that comfortable with.”

HARRY AND MEGHAN’S ROYAL RIFT DEEPENS

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will not join King Charles III for his first Christmas as the Firm’s leading monarch.

According to The Daily Mirror, sources claim the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will not accept an invite to Sandringham after publicity for Prince Harry’s new memoir began.

The couple, who moved to California, have “no plans” to join the Royal Family for Christmas in Sandringham, according to the Mirror.

One insider told the Mirror relations are believed to be at “near rock bottom” as the Duke of Sussex prepares to unleash on his family in the new year with his book titled Spare.

A source said the royals were this week “completely caught by surprise” with the title of the book as publishers teased the memoirs “raw, unflinching honesty”.

It comes after Markle revealed her podcast Archetypes has been nominated for a People’s Choice Award, just days after facing backlash over comments made on her most recent episode.

The Duchess’ 12-episode podcast series launched in August which looks at and discusses the labels applied to women in society that can often hold them back.

News of the award nomination was shared by Archewell’s head of audio, Rebecca Sananès, who took to her Instagram story to share a screenshot of the podcast nomination in the Pop Podcast of 2022 category.

“#Archetypes is nominated for a People’s Choice Award,” she wrote. “If you like our show, please vote!.”

The mother of two, who is currently living in her $US14m ($A21.7m) mansion in California with Prince Harry, suspended episodes following the Queen’s death in September before resuming in October.

She has interviewed the likes of her friends Serena Williams and Mindy Kahling, as well as Paris Hilton.

The podcast is up against other popular shows, including Alex Cooper‘s Call Her Daddy and Dax Sheperd’s Armchair Expert, which Prince Harry was once a guest on.

It’s unknown yet if the Duchess will make an appearance at the award ceremony on December 6.

Prince Harry and Markle signed a lucrative deal with the audio streaming giant to host and produce podcasts, estimated to be worth around $US25m ($A39m), in late 2020.

In Markle’s latest podcast episode, she spoke of her frustration at “cowering and tiptoeing into a room” due to the fear she could be perceived negatively.

“I’m particular, I think a high tide raises all ships, we’re all going to succeed so let’s make sure it’s really great because it’s a shared success for everybody,” she said.

“But I also find myself cowering and tiptoeing into a room and – the thing I find most embarrassing – when you’re saying a sentence and the intonation goes up, like it’s a question.

“And you’re like, ’’oh my God, stop, like whispering and tiptoeing around it. Just say what it is that you need. You’re allowed to set a boundary. You’re allowed to be clear, it doesn’t make you demanding. It doesn’t make you difficult, it makes you clear.”

The 41-year-old has previously been branded ‘Duchess Difficult’ following claims about her “dictatorial” behaviour and 5am emails — which allegedly prompted her aide Samantha Cohen to quit.

Other “broken” royal aides told of being reduced to tears by bullying and temper tantrums. Markle has always strenuously denied any claims of bullying.

The news comes after she faced backlash for saying Deal or No Deal “reduced her to a bimbo”.

In a conversation with Paris Hilton on her podcast Archetypes, the Duchess revealed she was made to feel like “a pretty thing, not a person” during her time as a “briefcase girl” on the show.

Whoopie Goldberg slammed the comments on her show The View saying the royal’s comments made “other women feel bad” and sparked a backlash from other women who also worked on the show.

Australian “briefcase girl #3” slammed the duchess for “insulting” comments against Deal or No Deal and its “bimbo” co-stars.
