One bride’s decision to reveal the truth about her whereabouts has ended up backfiring massively, and could cost her place in the show.

A huge lie revealed on Married At First Sight tonight threatens to end a blossoming relationship.

Sara and Tim have had their fair share of ups and downs, but during the latest episode Tim won her over when he stood up for his bride when she accused Jack of “kissing her neck and tapping her bum” during a previous group meeting.

As the pair grew closer following the confrontation, Jayden noticed that Eden appeared to be retreating from the group and decided to take her to one side and find out what was on her mind.

It turns out Sara had inadvertently revealed in a text message to Eden that she was meeting up with her ex-boyfriend for dinner the previous weekend.

“I was sending her photos of tops [to try on] that I had and I asked her where she was going for dinner. And when I opened the text it said: ‘I’m seeing my ex-boyfriend’.”

However, she’d kept the meet-up secret from her groom, Tim, and as a result, Eden confessed to Jayden that she felt it was her duty to be honest and reveal the truth.

“I don’t know if anything happened,” said Eden.

“Even if nothing happened, that’s a form of cheating,” insisted Jayden. “And meeting up with your ex partner behind your back is a from of cheating. It’s hit a little bit of a soft spot for me, I know what it would be like to be in Tim’s situation right now. Tim deserves to know. I don’t think Tim deserves that. It definitely needs to come out.

“If I was Tim, I would want to know,” echoed Eden.

With the latest dinner party episode set to take place on Wednesday, a preview revealed the shocking fallout of Eden’s ultimatum to Sara.

“I’ve been cheated on in the past and I had no one tell me. I’m not going to watch Tim look like a fool. I'm going to give you the opportunity to tell Tim what you did last weekend. We will tell him if you don’t, Sara,” Eden says.

Fans took to Twitter to reveal their thoughts regarding Sara’s decision to meet up with her ex and lie about it, with many backing Eden’s decision to tell Tim the truth.

One said: “After backing Sara like that Tim gets done dirty!!’ with a second hitting back: “So where did Sara tell her hubby she was going? I don’t understand how they get away from each other to cheat with external people?”

Another view ranted: “Oh no...Tim finally stood up for Sara, and then she does this. Poor Tim!”
