An international music megastar was spotted trying to keep himself incognito as he headed to his plane at Sydney Airport.

The Weeknd reschedules cancelled Australian tour dates

The Weeknd has been spotted trying to keep incognito at Sydney airport.

The international megastar was spotted leaving Australia after finishing off his much-delayed tour of Down Under.

The star, whose real name is Abel Tesfaye, went incognito, covering up in a hat and mask as he checked in for his international flight out of Sydney Airport

The Weeknd performed two shows in Melbourne earlier this month before he headed to Sydney for two nights at Accor Stadium.

While his tour proved to be success, some fans were left less than impressed.

The singer began the local leg of his After Hours Til Dawn tour after postponing his initial November 2023 concert dates, before cancelling the tour altogether back in April.

He announced in August he would be finally making his way down under, with the first show held at Marvel Stadium on Saturday night, marking his first performance on our shores since 2017.

Fans complain as The Weeknd ends Melbourne show early

It was a long time coming for ticket holders, but many have taken to social media to accuse the Blinding Lights singer of “arriving late”, leaving abruptly and skipping the encore.

One TikTok user uploaded a video of herself in disbelief over the show’s abrupt ending, writing, “Tell me I’m not the only one who thought it was over way too early.”

Hundreds of attendees flooded the comment section echoing the sentiment.

“My blood is still boiling, he arrived late, left early, left without an encore, didn’t perform moth to a flame which is one of his BIGGEST songs, too anti climactic,” one wrote.

“He didn’t even say bye,” another said.

“After cancelling last year …” a third wrote.

“No literally he just like walked off,” a fourth added.

Another of the star's Melbourne shows was struck by drama when a concertgoer jumped on stage and ran towards the singer.

Approximately an hour into the singer’s Marvel Stadium show, the man climbed onto the elevated stage, out-running security.

The gatecrasher reached out and tried to grab the singer before he backed away from the fan.

Security jumped onto the stage and escorted the invader off, as The Weekend manouvered out of his grip, ducking in order to reach freedom.
