‘Huge’ Desert Festival kicks off with all-Territory line-up, starting today
CELEBRATING 20 years of desert culture and art, Desert Festival will deliver an all-Territory program this year.

CELEBRATING 20 years of desert culture and art, Desert Festival will deliver an all-Territory program this year.
The festival will kick off today with a street party and parade at the Alice Springs Town Council Night Markets from 5pm.
Over 10 days and nights, the desert community will relish in all things music, theatre, film and art, created right here in our own backyard.
The festival will conclude with an Afro Calypso Poolside Disco at Gap View Hotel, jointly presented with 8CCC Community Radio on Sunday, October 4.
Due to COVID-19 regulations, numbers to this year’s events are capped and those wanting to attend the free events must register.

Red Hot Arts Central Australia festivals events manager Tamlyn Neck said it would be a “huge 10 days”.
“This year, we’re bringing local artists to the forefront and we can’t wait to celebrate our great Central Australian talent with you,” she said.

Desert Festival is presented by Red Hot Arts Central Australia and has been made possible with the support of the Northern Territory government and the Alice Springs Town Council.
