GUY Sebastian launched his campaign to win Eurovision votes on the weekend, performing his competition song Tonight Again at a concert in Amsterdam.

He was one of 24 contestants to showcase their wares at the sold-out Eurovision In Concert event at the Melkweg club.

More than 1500 fans queued outside the club for the show which has become a popular preview of the Eurovision Song Contest contenders over the past seven years.

Sebastian delivered the song with his usual professionalism and style and appeared to have plenty of support in the crowd who even joined in on the singing during the final chorus.

There also appeared to be some enthusiastic Australian flags being waved in support of our very first Eurovision finalist.

Accompanied by an acoustic guitarist with a backing tape filling in the rest of the r&b hit-in-waiting, the preview didn’t reveal how Sebastian will perform the song in Vienna during the competition next month.

The sets for the world’s biggest singing contest are phenomenal and Sebastian and his team are planning a feast for the eyes to rival the seasoned European finalists.

He faces strong opposition from the galvanised hordes of Eurovision fans who are backing their own country’s entrants, with Sweden, Israel, Albania and Serbia’s singers getting plenty of love on social media after their performances.

Sebastian’s next test comes this weekend when he performs Tonight Again at London’s Eurovision party.

The multi-million selling Australian artist wrote his Eurovision song just days before the deadline to submit entries.

It is a more serious attempt at a pop anthem rather than some of the more novelty songs which have made Eurovision one of the most watched television events in the world.
