Emotional trailer drops for Harry Potter reunion special
Emma Watson, Rupert Grint and Daniel Radcliffe have reunited for a Harry Potter special, with the former growing emotional.

The boy who lived is making yet another resurrection. Harry Potter – Daniel Radcliffe himself – has returned for the franchise’s very first reunion special.
Premiering on Binge on January 1, Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts, promises to be the most ambitious special in the magical franchise to date.
The first full-length trailer has been unveiled today, offering a special look into fantastic nostalgia, and where to find it.
“Think of a powerful memory. Make it the happiest memory you can remember,” Radcliffe says in the clip.
He continues: “The thing that scared me the most was the implication that the most meaningful thing in our life was done. And there’s something so curious about seeing everyone, and be like, ‘It wasn’t, though!’”
The special will dive into the making of Chris Columbus’s first film, Harry Potter and the Sorcerer’s Stone, as it celebrates its 20th anniversary, as well as the rest of the franchise. Return to Hogwarts will feature an array of cameos from the esteemed cast – most importantly, the main trio, Radcliffe, Emma Watson, and Rupert Grint.
“It feels like no time has passed,” says Watson, “and loads of time has passed.”
“It’s the perfect time to sit down with everyone and reminisce,” Grint concurs.
Watson tears up at one point during the pair’s conversation.
“When things get really dark, and times are really hard, there’s something about Harry Potter that makes life richer,” she says.
“It’s a strong bond we all have. We’re family. We’ll always be a part of each other’s lives,” Grint replies, before they hug each other.
Furthermore, the trailer features a chat with Helena Bonham Carter, who reveals one of the hardest days on set was when she had to impersonate Hermione (Watson) as she impersonated Bellatrix Lestrange. She still has the fake teeth from the scene! Further teases include interviews with Ralph Fiennes, Tom Felton, and Matthew Lewis.
“We’re family,” Grint wraps the trailer, “and we’ll always be part of each others’ lives.”
The rest of the reunion cast includes Robbie Coltrane, Jason Isaacs, Gary Oldman, Imelda Staunton, James Phelps, Oliver Phelps, Mark Williams, Bonnie Wright, Alfred Enoch, Evanna Lynch, Ian Hart, and more.
