THE BASSINTHEGRASS festival line-up has been revealed with twice as many acts on the bill for 2019.

Local fans of Aussie music will be well sorted with popular acts such Hilltop Hoods, Chet Faker, PNAU and Karnivool set to hit the stage.

Festival organisers released the line-up this afternoon at Casuarina Square after a live performance from festival headliner Amy Shark.

BITG 2019 will feature double the acts and double the stages at a brand new location on Mindil Beach.

Fans can snap up early bird tickets priced at $75 right now. General admission tickets will go on sale at $105.

Minister for Tourism, Sport and Culture Lauren Moss said she believed the revamped festival with a star-studded line-up would attract tourists up to the Top End.

“We’re thrilled to deliver another spectacular festival line-up, which not only allows Territorians to see leading Australian music artists in their own backyard, but also gives a significant boost to out tourism industry with music fans far and wide expected to visit Darwin for the event.”

“I really encourage people to get their tickets early.

“It’s anticipated to be the biggest and best BITG festival yet.”

Shark, whose debut album last year rose to number one on the Australian charts, said she couldn’t wait to get a sweat on on stage at BITG.

“I can’t wait to get back to playing a summer festival,” she said.

“I love to get all sweaty and running around the stage. It’s just a good vibe up here and everyone is into it.”

Shark said Territory crowds are a pleasure to play to.

“I feel like they just give you everything they have up here I look forward to because I know everyone is going to be into it and its going to be a good vibe,” she said.

After signing lots of autographs for adoring fans at Casuarina Square, Shark told the NT News she was more than comfortable in croc country.

“It’s obviously very intimidating,” she said.

“I feel like I don’t know the area but being a shark, the size that I am, I could win any battle with any croc.

“It’s a quiet confidence. I know I’m probably out of my depth, but I like to challenge myself and this is the place to do it.”
