Darwin singer Vassy releases new record ‘Lost’ with Dutch DJ Afrojack

DARWIN’S very own Vassy Karagiorgos has continued to take the global music scene by storm with her brand new record ‘Lost’

DARWIN’S own Vassy Karagiorgos has continued to take the global music scene by storm with her new record Lost.

The Territorian, who is based in Los Angeles, teamed up with Dutch DJ Afrojack to create the popular track featuring Oliver Rosa.

Released late last year, Lost already has more than one million views on YouTube and has been played by numerous radio stations across the US and Australia.

The award-winning, multi-platinum recording artist, songwriter and producer wrote Lost last year and said the lyrics tell a story about getting lost to find love.

“I always write my songs about things I have experienced or have connected with and I’m so happy that fans have embraced my new record,” she said.

After collaborating with big names such as David Guetta and Tiesto in the past, VASSY (pictured) said she was looking forward to releasing more solo records.

“I want to show fans a new side of me as many know me for my collaborations,” she said. “I have a whole bunch of new tunes coming out this year which I’m feeling really excited about. I can’t wait to release new music for my fans.”

VASSY visited family in Darwin this week and flew out to Sydney on Tuesday.

“I was in Darwin last year in March and again now and I would love to come more often, but it depends on work,” she said. “I love coming home to the Territory. As they say, you can take the girl out of Darwin, but you can’t take Darwin out of the girl.”
