Meghan Markle steps out for brunch in Hollywood with $9000 Chanel bag

Meghan Markle has been seen in public for the first time since her children were officially recognised with royal titles. Her outfit did not disappoint. See photos.

Meghan Markle has stepped out in public for the first time since news broke her children Archie and Lilibet have officially been recognised as prince and princess.

The Duchess of Sussex smiled and laughed as she walked out of Melrose Ave restaurant Gracias Madre – a venue with organic food on its menu, and no meat, that describes itself “Born out of love for Mother Earth and reverence for all mothers”.

Ms Markle was dressed in an all-black outfit with large black sunglasses and a Chanel handbag retailing for $A9000 as she walked with Ashley Momtaheni, the EVP of Global Communications of Archewell, the organisation Ms Markle founded with Prince Harry.

Video shows the royal smiling with Ms Momtaheni as they left the restaurant and are wished a happy International Women’s Day by a member of the paparazzi.

“Thank you,” she replied as she put a hand to her chest.

“Thank you that’s very kind,” she said after the same man said she “looked great by the way”.

“Have a good day guys, thank you so much,” she said to waiting paparazzi.

The same photographer who wished her a happy day said: “We hope to see you again sometime”.

Ms Markle then waved goodbye to Ms Momtaheni, as a minder guided her into a waiting black vehicle before it drove away.

Earlier, Ms Markle visited the non-profit organisation Harvest Home that provides housing, mental health support, and classes to expectant mothers who’ve “faced tremendous challenges including domestic violence, substance use and homelessness.”

Ms Markle and staff “celebrated the women of Harvest Home by creating a pop up baby boutique, hosting lunch from a female owned restaurant, and making a donation to the organisation,” a statement on the Archewell website said.

It comes amid news Prince Harry and Meghan Markle are “expected” to attend King Charles’ historic coronation in London in May, despite the couple not formally accepted the King’s invitation.

“Harry and Meghan are being factored into all of the planning,” a source said, according to the Daily Mail.

“The cars, the seating plans, dining arrangements, everything. The staff are certainly working on the expectation they are coming.”

“These kind of arrangements have to be made well in advance.”
