King Charles is reportedly evicting Prince Harry and Meghan Markle from Frogmore Cottage and has offered the royal property to Prince Andrew.
The move, reported by The Sun, throws into doubt the chances of a coronation invite for the California-based pair.
An insider told The Sun: “This surely spells the end of Harry and Meghan’s time in the UK.”
Scandal-plagued Prince Andrew has reportedly been offered the keys to the home, which was a wedding gift to Prince Harry and Ms Markle from the late Queen.
The Sun reports that King Charles began the process of removing Prince Harry and his wife from the home after his son’s controversial memoir Spare was released.
The move would leave the Sussesex without a permanent UK home.
They are reportedly now drawing up plans to ship all their belongings in the UK to their Montecito mansion.
The disgraced Duke of York, who faces being booted out of his Royal Lodge mansion, was last week offered the smaller Frogmore Cottage, and is said to be “resisting”.
The Sussexes used $A3.5 million of taxpayer money to renovate the property, before paying it back in full when they moved to California
MEGHAN APPEARS IN COFFEE AD
Meghan Markle has broken cover without Prince Harry in her first public appearance since the release of the bombshell memoir, Spare, to sell $A110 “SuperLattes” with Oprah.
Apart from grainy photos in the background of Ellen’s wedding vow renewals, Ms Markle stayed out of view for weeks as Prince Harry aired his family grievances in the tell-all royal memoir.
But just days after the couple was dragged on South Park, tanking their popularity in the United States, the Duchess of Sussex used her first official engagement to promote her investment in a woke coffee brand.
The Instagram promo comes after reports Prince Harry was at odds with Ms Markle’s plans to return to the social media platform.
The former actress had a non-speaking role in the Instagram video for Clevr Blends, billed as a “wellness coffee”, which was one of Ms Markle’s first investments since moving to the US after Megxit.
In the video, company founder Hannah Mendoza introduced the “self-care” “Super Lattes” and wellness products to boost energy, reduce stress, and promote sleep.
“Three years ago, everything changed. None other than Meghan, the Duchess of Sussex, had started drinking our lattes,” Ms Mendoza said in the video.
“Not only did she love the product but she was extremely passionate about female founders and sustainable sourcing.”
With footage of Ms Markle wearing casual jeans and beige trench coat while sipping coffee, Ms Mendoza added that the Duchess brought her Hollywood buddies into the world of turmeric lattes, including Oprah Winfrey, who also appeared in the marketing video sipping a brew.
The coat looked similar to the Burberry ‘Maythorne’ silk trench Ms Markle wore during her royal tour of Australia in 2018.
“Meghan ended up becoming our first investor, adviser and biggest Clevr advocate. Our small but mighty team was so not ready for this and ended up selling out for two months.
“We grew our team. launched amazing new products and decided to dip our toe into retail. We owe so much of that to women uplifting women … we have big plans for the future.”
Oprah famously posted about the company in December 2020 after receiving it in a gift basket from “my neighbour M”, and the TV host added the product to her 2021 “Oprah’s Favourite Things” list.
Packaged in the hues of millennial pink, Clevr Blends promotes itself as “a mission-driven, women-led wellness brand”.
That mission, according to its website, is based in “food justice, ensuring part of our revenue goes to supporting more equitable food systems”.
“Our approach to wellness goes beyond the mug — its roots are in our sourcing, where ethical, transparent supply chains are our foundation,” Ms Mendoza writes.
“That by feeling nourished, and by energising in a way that’s restorative, not extractive, you’ll be able to show up more fully for yourself and your community.”
They’re currently running a special for 20 per cent off of “Oprah’s Favourite Kit”, a USD $74 ($A110) starter kit for “SuperLattes” – blended with adaptogens, mushrooms & “SuperCreamer to help stabilise stress, energy & mood”.
