The Nicole Kidman-produced series The Last Anniversary premiered in Sydney on Monday night – and its star Teresa Palmer was absolutely glowing at the event.

Palmer – who plays the protagonist in the thrilling mystery six-part series premiering on BINGE on March 27 – wowed fans at the State Theatre as she walked the black carpet, showing off her baby bump in a flowy, brown maxidress.

In her first public appearance since announcing her fifth pregnancy last week, the 39-year-old made it a family affair, bringing her stepson Isaac, 16, and sons Bodhi, 10, and Forest, 8, as her dates for the evening.

“It was the first time I’ve had all three of them together for a premiere, so it was just gorgeous,” she told news.com.au following the event.

“I managed to convince my stepson. I was like, ‘Come and have a photo.’ And he’s just gorgeous and so supportive. He’s in Australia at the moment, so it was lovely that we could celebrate with all three of them.”

Adelaide-born Palmer shares her sons with her American screenwriter husband Mark Webber, with the couple also parents to daughters Poet, 5, and Prairie, 3.

The 39-year-old actress, who is now based in LA, briefly relocated to Australia in late 2023 to start filming the series, which is the TV adaptation of Liane Moriarty’s best-selling novel of the same name.

And she was thankful that Kidman’s Blossom Films and fellow producer Bruna Papandrea’s Made Up Stories production company accommodated her family during filming in the picturesque Hawkesbury region of NSW.

“The perks of working with Bruna, she’s in your corner and she supports you and she loves you. She will champion you. She has been my biggest supporter,” Palmer says.

“I always laugh about the fact that she keeps hiring me even though my needs grow as I have more children. She always has to get me at least a three-bedroom house. And there are definitely many other actors who can have just one little hotel room, but she keeps hiring me and then encouraging other people to hire me too. So she is just been my biggest cheerleader and I owe so much to her.”

Indeed, Papandrea worked with Palmer in the 2013 romance horror Warm Bodies, and most recently in the 2024 film Addition.

Continually impressed with Palmer’s work, Papandrea asked her to star as Sophie Honeywell in The Last Anniversary.

The gripping Aussie series follows Sophie, a journalist and hopeless romantic who hears her biological clock ticking loudly.

However, she soon finds herself on a remote island after inherting a house left to her by her ex-boyfriend’s grandmother, Connie.

The series stars Helen Thomson, Miranda Richardson, Danielle Macdonald and Claude Scott-Mitchell among many others – and Palmer was delighted to have reunited with them at the premiere last night after a dream experience on set.

“We were all shooting on an island, so we would get two different boats to get to set, and we became so close, we were always giggling, connecting, having fun, just it was a dream come true,” she tells us.

“I remember looking around at this picturesque location and we kept saying, ‘Can you believe this is our work? We are working.’ It was just so divine, and we were all really committed to the story and to each other’s work and showing up for one another. It was wonderful.

“So then to see all the cast last night, it was such a happy reunion. We all watched it for the first time together with an audience. It was so special. Such a beautiful full-circle moment for us.”
