Kim Kardashian cried after Robin Williams’ public diss

A celeb who earned a brutal public roasting from Robin Williams before his death has revealed she privately wept over the diss.

Long before Kim Kardashian was getting fashion critiques from her 10-year-old daughter North West, she was getting roasted by the late and great Robin Williams. On the most recent episode of The Kardashians, the reality star reveals that she “cried” after the comedian poked fun at her 2013 Met Gala look.

On the night before this year’s Met Gala, West breaks it to her mum that her outfit looks “beachy” instead of chic and that the 50,000 pearls that make up the dress look “fake” and like they’re from “the dollar store.” Ouch.

While looking back on some of her previous Met Gala looks, Kardashian asks West what she thinks about the floral Givenchy maternity dress she wore when she was pregnant with her back in 2013.

“I really don’t like that one,” West says, while Scott Disick chimes in, “Nobody liked that one.”

Williams sports a similar pattern as Mrs Doubtfire.

The Skims founder — who, at the time, was attending her first Met Gala as ex-husband Kanye West‘s plus one — previously said she cried “the whole way home” after social media trolls compared her to a couch. Williams — who died the following year — only added fuel to the fire when he posted side-by-side photos of Kardashian in her dress and himself wearing a similar Mrs. Doubtfire costume. He captioned the post, “I think I wore it better!”

According to Kardashian, she “loved” that look — even though it put her at the centre of many memes.

“I cried when Robin Williams roasted me and posted who wore it better — me and Mrs. Doubtfire,” she admits. “I cried when I got home but now I love it.”

Kardashian revealed that while she cried at the time, now she “loves” William’s roast of her outfit.

Nowadays, Kardashian’s harshest critic is her own daughter. Aside from attacking the reality star’s 2023 Met Gala look, West also lays into her mother’s 2021 Balenciaga outfit — which covered her in black from head to toe.

“It looks like you’re getting covered by a plastic bag and you’re suffocating and you can’t see,” West explains to Kardashian, who later tells her daughter, “I respect your opinion. Please just be easy on me today.”

As for that Givenchy dress, it was most recently seen on Kourtney Kardashian, who iconically cosplayed her pregnant sister on Halloween days before giving birth to her and Travis Barker‘s son, Rocky Thirteen.
