Tom Cruise ‘has no part’ in daughter Suri’s life
The Top Gun star has reportedly been estranged from his 16-year-old daughter, Suri, for a decade.

Tom Cruise no longer has any relationship with his daughter Suri, having reportedly been estranged from her for a decade following his divorce from Katie Holmes.
According to the Daily Mail, the Top Gun star’s 16-year-old daughter is currently applying for colleges – without any input from her famous dad.
“Suri is applying to schools all over the place. [Katie] really does want her to stay in New York so they can be close to each other. Katie takes great pride in her but is also extremely overprotective,” a source told the publication.
They added that Cruise has offered no input as he “has no part” in his child’s life.
Cruise, 60, and Holmes, 44, were one of the most high-profile couples of the early 2000s, with their romance generating endless headlines.
During a now infamous appearance on The Oprah Winfrey Show in 2005, Cruise jumped on the talk show host’s sofa to declare his feelings for Holmes.
“I’m in love! I’m in love,” he yelled while fist pumping the air. “I can’t be cool. I can’t be laid-back. It’s something that has happened, and I feel I want to celebrate it. I want to celebrate her. She’s a very special woman.”
The couple welcomed Suri in April 2006, and married in November that year.
However, the marriage crumbled just six years later when Holmes filed for divorce, and Cruise has reportedly been estranged from his daughter since 2013.
Despite not maintaining contact, the Mission Impossible star reportedly pays his ex-wife $US400,000 ($A600,000) a year in child support, as well as covering all of Suri’s expenses.
While Cruise hasn’t seen Suri in more than 10 years, he reportedly still has a close relationship with his two children with Nicole Kidman – Isabella, 30, and Connor, 28.
