The music superstar and her NFL player fiance had been considering a lavish wedding in Italy but are now looking at getting hitched at her iconic $50 million colonial mansion, The US Sun has reported.
The Gatsby-esque mansion, which was built in 1929 and was famously owned by oil heiress Rebecca Harkness, has eight bedrooms, a private beachfront and sits on the highest point of Watch Hill.
Swift, who paid tribute to her beloved holiday home in the song The Last Great American Dynasty on her 2020 album Folklore, is planning to create a new garden on site for her nuptials in mid-2026.
She and Kelce are said to be planning on splashing the cash as the star creates a new garden on site, planting her preferred floral attractions “months in advance.”
It’s understood the couple are prepared to spend $1.8 million on landscaping alone before the big day.
“She wants the entire celebration to feel like a wave of flowers, with arrangements of white, purple, and pink orchids, plus blue, white, and pink hydrangeas, and peonies in pink, white, and red tones,” the source told The US Sun.
“Taylor dreams of being fully surrounded by flowers, with lush floral bushes everywhere, making her teenage dream of marrying in a sea of flowers come true,” the insider said.
Close friend Gigi Hadid and Selena Gomez have been asked to be bridesmaids and both Taylor and Travis’s mothers are involved in the planning, The US Sun reports.
Swift is keen to organise an entire wedding weekend running from Friday to Sunday.
The source said the loved-up star wants to create a “multi-day celebration” which will make it “a unique, unforgettable memory they’ll cherish for the rest of their lives.”
“Taylor wants to start the wedding process this way — building her bridesmaid group and getting everyone involved in the preparations, celebrations, and planning,” an insider previously told The US Sun.
“She wants it to be fun and memorable for everyone, with parties, trips, and time spent together leading up to the big day.”
In August, Kelce popped the question to Swift after two years of dating.
“Your English teacher and your gym teacher are getting married,” the pair captioned Instagram photos from the garden proposal, which was taken at the NFL star’s Leawood, Kansas estate.
