Princess Lilibet has “found her voice” at the age of three – and her parents couldn’t be prouder.

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s youngest child got a rare mention during the couple’s final day of their Colombia tour, during a panel discussion titled “Afro-Descendant Women and Power: Voice of Equity”.

Meghan reflected on her daughter’s growth while speaking with Colombian Vice President Francia Márquez on Sunday.

“I know how it feels when you don’t use your voice when you need to be heard or have something to say,” Meghan explained to the crowd.

“I encourage our daughter to do so — who at three has absolutely found her voice, and we are so proud of that.”

Lilibet and her brother, Prince Archie, have largely been kept out of the spotlight over the years and did not join their parents on the recent tour, instead remaining at their home in California.

During the discussion on female empowerment, Meghan also praised her mother for providing “inspiration”

“I find inspiration in the strong women around me, of course my mother being one of them,” she said.

“So much of how I approach things is less about the fight and more about how do we show up in a space and wash things over with love and kindness and generosity. “Those are the elements that inspire me,” she added.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have now wrapped up their four-day tour of Colombia, which was arranged following a personal invitation from the country’s Vice-President, Francia Márquez, after she saw their Netflix docu-series, Harry & Meghan.

The visit was made as part of the efforts by Harry and Meghan’s philanthropic division, Archewell Foundation, to improve the social media landscape and better protect young people from online dangers.

During their time there, the couple visited local organisations, hosted panels, participated in an Invictus Games training session and experienced Colombian culture while travelling across three cities: Bogotá, Cali and Cartegna.
