Timothee Chalamet splashes on engagement ring and ‘plans to propose’ to Kylie Jenner

They might be one Hollywood’s most unexpected couples, but Timotee Chalamet’s latest move suggests they’re here to stay.

Timothee Chalamet has taken a significant step toward proposing to Kylie Jenner after splurging on a diamond ring crafted in Paris, sources have told The U.S. Sun.

According to two close friends, Oscar-nominated actor Timothee spent an impressive $300,000 on an engagement ring designed in the French capital, featuring a stunning 150 diamonds.

The U.S. Sun has learned that Timothee has been working on his engagement plans for “a couple of months,” and is finally ready to take his relationship with Kylie “to the next level.”

Last week, The U.S. Sun revealed that the A-list couple had been exploring luxurious properties in Milan and Paris.

Now, it seems even bigger plans are in motion.

One friend shared that the 29-year-old New Yorker, whose father is French, has been seeking advice for weeks on the best way to shop for a ring.

During recent trips, he browsed in both France and New York City but ultimately chose a Parisian designer for his 27-year-old reality TV star girlfriend.

The couple, who have been dating for about two years, may see Timothee pop the question later this year, insiders said.

“I have never seen him so happy,” one friend revealed. “He has been telling us for a while now how deeply in love he is.”

The friend also disclosed that the A Complete Unknown star put in significant effort to arrange meetings with jewellers in both New York and Paris before finally selecting “the one he loved most.”

“The ring, made by the Parisian designer, is incredibly special and will take six weeks to complete,” the friend added. “He’s ready to get engaged and envisions a long, happy future with Kylie.”

With the ring chosen, Chalamet is now considering potential proposal locations.

Paris appears to be a frontrunner, along with the romantic and picturesque French Riviera, where the actor knows “a couple of charming, intimate spots,” according to another friend.

Both sources agree they’ve never seen the actor this happy and describe the couple’s relationship as “supportive and loving.”

“They love each other so much and miss each other deeply when they’re apart,” one friend said. “They’re constantly talking about life plans and building the strongest foundation for a future together.”

The loved-up pair has no problem showing their love in public and were inseparable on Sunday during the BNP Paribas Indian Wells Open in California, openly displaying their affection.

Their public outing follows Kylie’s unwavering support for Timothee’s Oscars campaign for his portrayal of music legend Bob Dylan.

She has been travelling with her Hollywood star boyfriend to major award ceremonies, including the BAFTAs, Golden Globes, and Academy Awards.

However, while Kylie was happy to pose for photos inside the events, she chose not to walk the red carpet.

“I don’t think I have seen Timothee that happy in his life,” confirmed his pal, “he is so, so, so happy. It is beautiful to see.”
