THEY’VE only been together for three months but Taylor Swift and Tom Hiddleston’s relationship has already entered “crisis mode”, according to new reports.
The stars got together in June and were pictured getting cosy in Rome and later Australia, where Taylor joined Tom while he was filming the new instalment of the Thor franchise.
However, Radar Online now reports that Tom is fed up with how they’re being perceived.
“Tom can’t deal with being a laughing stock and has told Taylor he’s done unless there’s a 360-degree change on her part,” a source said. “It’s become a total charade and Tom is sick of being treated like a glorified escort.”
The pair put on an international display of affection when they first got together, including when Tom wearing an “I heart TS” tank top at her famous Fourth of July party.
Now Tom reportedly wants to put an end to the spectacle and prove their relationship is real.
The insider added that their days are numbered and said: “Tom is just done with it”.
“It bothers him so much that they’ve become known as this fauxmance laughing stock.”
The Sun reports these latest reports come after the pair reportedly had their “first major argument” last month.
According to American publication Us Weekly, the unlikely duo had “a major argument” as hectic schedules meant they weren’t getting much quality time as a couple.
A source close to the 26-year-old American singer told the mag: “They weren’t spending as much time together.
“There was so much going on so it was hard making their schedules work and they were upset they couldn’t see each other.”
Meanwhile, The Sun exclusively revealed that the couple are set to put on a united front and make their first public appearance together at the Emmy Awards on September 18.
British heart-throb Tom is up for the Best Actor in a Limited Series or Television Movie gong for his role in BBC drama The Night Manager and Taylor is set to be by his side to celebrate.
An awards insider said: “Tom normally doesn’t like his public life overlapping with his private life but he is so happy with Taylor that it’s the perfect time.
“The event organisers have extended an invite for a ‘guest’ to join him because they know if they walk the red carpet together it will make it the most talked-about show of the year.
“While the Emmys may be about celebrating the best shows on television, the organisers that weekend are looking for just one show — Taylor and Tom.
“The Emmys red carpet itself would give them the most publicity, and organisers have made it clear to Tom and his reps that she is more than welcome to join him.”
