AUSTRALIAN Victoria’s Secret model Shanina Shaik has slammed ex Tyson Beckford for the way he treated her during their relationship.
Shaik sat down with fellow model Cheyenne Tozzi saying meeting her fiance DJ Ruckus, real name Greg Andrews, was the most cherished moment in her life.
“It opened my eyes to a whole new world about how women should be treated and respected,” she said.
There is little doubt she is talking about Beckford, who she met in 2008 when she came runner-up on Make Me A Supermodel and he was a guest judge.
Their June 2115 split was bitter and Ruckus and Beckford even got into a fight once the DJ started dating the 25-year-old Victoria’s Secret model.
Shaik’s mum Kim was quick to comment after the incident.
“@djruckusofficial @shaninamshaik It takes a real man to keep his woman happy, feeling loved and secure and you’ve proven that. Much respect to the man you are and all the good values instilled in you.”
Shaik also commented on the brawl.
“I only know of one man and he fights for me,” she wrote.
Beckford revealed to Diana Madison that he is controlling in relationships.
“I kind of get controlling when she is getting dressed, like I might be like “Don’t wear that, wear this”,’ Beckford said. “I am one of those fashion boyfriends.’
“I have a way of putting my foot in my mouth,” he said. “There is no filter and that is my problem”.
After their break up he also posted to Twitter, saying that the split with Shaik was no big loss.
“Not everyone you lose is a loss. Unless it’s me then you f**d up,” he said.
