OITNB star Lea DeLaria’s hilarious breakup post from fiancee Chelsea Fairless the week they were meant to marry

THIS Orange is the New Black star was meant to marry her fiancee on Sunday but instead the pair split, sharing a hilarious separation post.

THEY didn’t make it to the alter but they may have won the award for best separation announcement ever.

Orange is the New Black star Lea DeLaria was meant to wed her fiancee Chelsea Fairless on Sunday in a wedding that was to be officiated by Sandra Bernhardt.

However the 58-year-old actress, who plays Big Boo on Orange is the New Black, announced that she and her girlfriend of four years had parted ways.

DeLaria even shared an engagement photo mock-up of the couple as David Gest and Liza Minnelli, standing next to Michael Jackson and Elizabeth Taylor.

“Apparently this was an eerily prophetic choice of engagement photo as our relationship has since gone the way of David and Liza, with one small exception: our split is amicable,” she wrote. “Please exclude us from the tragic and basic celebrity breakup narrative.”

“We were happy together for four years and will remain in each other’s lives. In fact, we look forward to finding new ways to torture each other,” the post said.

DeLaria and Ms Fairless, who is a fashion editor, were introduced over four years ago by DeLaria’s OITNB co-star Emma Myles (who plays meth head Leanne Taylor). Myles has been friends with Ms Fairless since high school.

While DeLaria has seemingly decided to say ‘I don’t’, a number of her OITNB co-stars are expected to wed this year.

Laura Prepon (Alex Vause) is engaged to Ben Foster, while Samira Wiley (Poussey Washington) is engaged to one of the show’s writers, Lauren Morelli.
