SUPERMODEL Bella Hadid has spoken about her breakup from The Weeknd for the first time, saying she felt it ‘very heavily’.
Hadid — who has been everywhere during New York fashion week — said she found it tough to handle the split from the Party Monster singer in the public eye.
“It was my first breakup … and so public,” Hadid, 20, told Teen Vogue.

“As an outsider, you might think I handled it so well, but it’s always in your heart, and you always feel it very heavily. It’ll be hard for a while.
“Love hurts, but you have to pull through. But I’ll always respect him, and I’ll always love him.
“Sometimes you want to be sad about it or handle it differently, but at the end of the day, you never want to burn a bridge that you’ve fought so hard to build.”
Weeks after their breakup, Hadid had an awkward encounter with her ex on the runway at the Victoria’s Secret fashion show, where she was modelling and he performed.
The Weeknd then famously moved on to new love interest Selena Gomez — who was a one-time friend of Hadid’s.
Hadid unfollowed Gomez on social media after their relationship went public.
