Jessica Simpson has put her Los Angeles mansion on the market just days before confirming her split from husband Eric Johnson.
The singer and her estranged spouse have both been seen without wedding bands in recent months and were rumoured to be heading for divorce.
On Monday, Jessica, 44, confirmed to PEOPLE, “Eric and I have been living separately navigating a painful situation in our marriage.
“Our children come first, and we are focusing on what is best for them. We are grateful for all of the love and support that has been coming our way, and appreciate privacy right now as we work through this as a family.”
The pair tied the knot in July 2014 and share three children: daughters Maxwell, 12, and Birdie, five, and son Ace, 11.
Jessica bought her lavish property from Ozzy and Sharon Osbourne under her “Dixie Trail Trust” for $11.5 million in 2013.
Jessica first put the home up for sale for $22 million in September 2023, as they began spending more time in Nashville.
It appeared the family was relocating full-time to Tennessee, but the property was later taken off the market in August 2024.
The home was listed again on January 11, the days after Jessica and her family fled from the property amid the Los Angeles wildfires.
She took to Instagram on the evening of Thursday, January 9, to share a photo of her backyard as smoke could be seen heading towards the property.
Family evacuated
The home was close to the Kenneth fire which began in Woodland Hills but has since been contained, and her property is not thought to have been affected.
But many residents in the area were asked to evacuate as Jessica wrote on social media, “We stayed as long as we could.”
According to an updated online listing, the home offers seven bedrooms and 13 bathrooms.
The luxury abode is situated in the celebrity-filled guard-gated Hidden Hills and was once featured in Architectural Digest.
It rests on around 2.25 acres with twinkling city and mountain views.
The 13,274-square-foot property includes a dramatic foyer with a spiral staircase and giant windows, often seen in Christmas photographs posted by Jessica on social media.
It also boasts a formal dining room, floor-to-ceiling windows, and a larger lower-level home theatre.
Jessica’s abode also offers a state-of-the-art chef’s kitchen, a walk-in pantry, and a breakfast nook.
“The family room is a true sanctuary, with oversized sliding barn doors, a fireplace adorned with reclaimed brick, and beamed vaulted ceilings that create an inviting and relaxing ambience,” the description also reads.
The grounds feature rolling lawns, a pool with a separate shallow pool, a rejuvenating spa, a BBQ island, and an outdoor shower and bathroom.
The U.S. Sun previously obtained documents showing Jessica and Eric took out four mortgages on the home.
The first was two years after they purchased it for $7,336,000, followed by a second loan for $8,000,000 in 2017, both with JPMorgan Chase Bank.
A third mortgage was taken out for $3,650,000 with Platinum Loan Servicing Inc., and a fourth is listed in filings for $3,045,000 with Bank of Southern California.
It is not known whether they have fully paid off the loans over the years, but they have never defaulted, according to documents.
