Jennifer Lopez ‘furious, humiliated’ by Ben Affleck

Jennifer Lopez is reportedly seething with Ben Affleck and is desperate to prevent further embarrassment in the public eye.

Jennifer Lopez is thought to be “furious” and “humiliated” over her split from Ben Affleck.

Rumours that the pair has broken up have plagued the stars for weeks; however, neither has yet to publicly confirm or deny the claims.

Now, a source has told Page Six that Lopez has decided to hold off from filing for divorce in a bid to save herself even more embarrassment.

“She’s furious,” said the source. “He has humiliated her. He was the one who initiated getting back together.”

The chart-topper and Affleck rekindled their relationship in July 2021, following Lopez’s split from her former fiance, Alex Rodriguez, in April 2021.

“He’s humiliated her because she made a big deal that he’s the love of her life,” continued the source. “They just had two weddings two years ago. This is some kind of a record, they’re not young kids.”

The source went on to share that Lopez has been made more distraught by the impact the split is having on the children in their two families.

“There are five kids involved in this,” says the source. “She knew they were going to blend families. She has not fully accepted it is over.”

Lopez has twins — Max and Emme, 16 — from her previous marriage to Marc Anthony, while Affleck shares Violet, 18, Fin, 17, and Samuel, 12, from his previous marriage to Jennifer Garner. Lopez is believed to be particularly close with Violet and has been photographed with her publicly numerous times this year.

Meanwhile, not only did they spend their July 17 wedding anniversary apart, but the singer also celebrated her 55th birthday without Affleck, instead marking the occasion with a lavish Bridgerton-themed bash with friends in the Hamptons

. But the boldest move of all was made by Affleck who bought himself a $US20.5 million ($31.3 million) bach pad mansion in the ritzy Pacific Palisades neighbourhood of LA. Just weeks prior, he and Lopez listed their marital home on the market.

Rumours of the couple’s split began earlier this year when they went 47 days without being spotted together. Since then, they have only been seen together on rare occasions, including school graduations for Affleck’s children, Violet and Samuel.

A source recently told Fox News Digital that Affleck and Lopez are doing their best to be there for all the children.

“JLo wants to be there for Ben’s kids. She’s changed her life and made it more about the children. She thought she’d be doing this with Ben, and she’s not. Ben’s kids really do like JLo, and they loved seeing their dad so happy with JLo,” they said.

The source added, “Part of the thing that was so amazing to both of them was coming back with children. When JLo and Ben first started dating, he decided he wanted to dedicate himself to being a better dad to his kids and blend this happy family together.”
