ANGELINA Jolie’s accusations about Brad Pitt’s dope smoking mirror comments the actor made after his divorce from Jennifer Aniston.

Pitt, 52, admitted he was “sitting on a couch, holding a joint, hiding out” in the 90s.

Speaking to Parade magazine in 2011, Pitt said he felt “pathetic” and that he “wasn’t living an interesting life” while reflecting on his dope-fuelled lifestyle during his relationship to Aniston.

“I think that my marriage had something to do with it. Trying to pretend the marriage was something that it wasn’t,” Pitt told Parade.

So has Pitt repeated the same weed-fuelled behaviour with Jolie that he did when his marriage to Aniston was in crisis?

Pitt’s dope smoking and alcohol use are now said to be factors in the breakdown of his 12-year relationship to Jolie, with rumours raging about Pitt’s drug use and cheating allegations.

Jolie was reportedly “fed up” with Pitt’s weed and booze consumption, which could have a negative effect on the children, according to TMZ.

Pitt later backtracked on the remarks he made about his marriage to Aniston. “Jen is an incredibly giving, loving, and hilarious woman who remains my friend,” Pitt said in a statement, following Parade interview.

“The point I was trying to make is not that Jen was dull, but that I was becoming dull to myself — and that, I am responsible for.”

An unnamed “incident” is said to have prompted Jolie to end her two-year marriage to Pitt this week, filing for divorce after more than a decade together.

“The final divorce decision was only made one week ago. An incident took place and prompted (Angelina) to act and file,” a source told Us Weekly.

Meantime, Pitt has vowed to fight Jolie for joint custody of their six children Maddox, 15, Pax, 12, Zahara, 11, Shiloh, 10, and eight-year-old twins Vivienne and Knox, according to divorce documents.
