It’s been four years since Matt LeBlanc last had an acting role, and now, the former Friends star’s secret career away from the small screen has been revealed.
The US actor, 57, was recently photographed working at a high-end Los Angeles car dealership that he co-owns, reports the Daily Mail.
The outlet claims LeBlanc, who has an estimated net worth of $A129 million, invested in the luxury re-sale dealership RPM Motorcars in October 2020, having been a longtime car enthusiast.
His only child, 20-year-old daughter Marina, was also spotted at the dealership alongside her famous father, wearing a company-branded grey T-shirt.
LeBlanc shares Marina with his ex-wife, US actress Melissa McKnight, who he was married to in 2003 until their split three years later.
According to RPM Motorcars’ website, the business caters to cashed-up clients looking to purchase “high quality, exotic, luxury, and sport cars.”
“We specialize in carrying unique, fun and rare automobiles,” the business description adds.
LeBlanc’s appearance at the dealership comes just days after his publicist denied rumours he’d retired from acting after the death of his Friends co-star Matthew Perry in October last year.
“Rubbish,” LeBlanc’s publicist told The Mirror when asked about reports LeBlanc had called time on acting.
LeBlanc last appeared on the small screen as himself in the nostalgic Friends reunion special, which aired to much fanfare in 2021.
In terms of playing a character, his most recent acting role was starring as Adam Burns on the CBS series Man with a Plan, which ran from 2016 until 2020.
He’s long been passionate about cars, having presented the smash hit BBC series Top Gear from 2016 until 2019.
LeBlanc, who shot to global fame in 1994 as the loveable Joey Tribbiani on Friends, has gradually left the spotlight in the years after the hit sitcom wrapped in 2004.
Previously, the actor said people were surprised to learn his real-life personality was in stark contrast to the larrikin character that made him a household name.
“People will always ask me if I’m all right, because I’m much more low-key and reserved than my character in Friends,” he told The Guardian in 2012.
“They think that I’m depressed, or I’m sad or upset — but I’m just not amped up to go out in front of an audience and do a TV show. That’s not who I am.”
After the shock death of Perry, who died from acute effects of ketamine aged 54, LeBlanc paid tribute to his former co-star in an emotional Instagram post.
“Matthew. It is with a heavy heart I say goodbye,” LeBlanc wrote alongside a series of photos of the pair.
The times we had together are honestly among the favorite (sic) times of my life. It was an honor (sic) to share the stage with you and to call you my friend. I will always smile when I think of you and I’ll never forget you. Never.”
