Tiffiny Hall opens up about ‘dramatic’ delivery of baby Arnold

SHE gave birth to baby Arnold two weeks ago. And now celebrity trainer Tiffiny Hall has detailed the dramatic labour.

TIFFINY Hall and her husband Ed Kavalee welcomed a beautiful baby boy named Arnold into the world two weeks ago and according to mum, he made quite the entrance.

The personal trainer spoke exclusively to Kidspot about her birth and revealed while her labour was the worst pain she has ever been through, it was the dramatic delivery that shocked her the most.

After a routine appointment with their obstetrician, Hall revealed the labour came on hard and fast.

“We got to our weekly appointment and my obstetrician said, ‘Oh you’re two centimetres dilated, you’re in labour!’ And I said, ‘Oh am I?’ I didn’t even notice. And then it was all happening from there, within two hours I had Arnold,” she explained.

Neither of them were expecting the labour to go so quickly but they both started to worry when their baby’s heart rate dropped very low just as she was about to get an epidural.

“Arnold’s heart rate dropped very low, he had the cord wrapped around his neck,” she explained.

“So I didn’t have any time to enjoy the epidural, they pretty much flung me back, my legs went up in the stirrups and I had to start pushing,” Hall said.

The couple got emotional when the heart rate dropped and when Hall saw how worried Kavalee was, she just shut her eyes and focused on getting the baby out safely.

“I said, ‘Don’t pat me on the back, don’t touch me just coach me because I’m used to being coached just tell me I’m doing a good job’,” she said.

“He saw the heart rate of the baby drop and everyone came rushing in,” she said. “He saw the cord wrapped around the baby’s neck as he came out and he saw the obstetrician just reach it around his head to relieve him, it was pretty full on for Ed.”

Arnold came out in such a rush that he also swallowed some amniotic fluid but Hall said he’s recovered well from all of the drama of his speedy arrival.

The labour came on very quickly and Hall, who is the founder of TiffXO, described the contractions as “earth shattering pain”.

“I did not expect it to be so painful. I’ve done a lot of painful things in my life training wise and pushing myself but nothing can ever compare to that,” she said.

She said the pain kept building and every contraction got stronger because the baby was coming down so quickly.

“They were monitoring the contractions on their little thing and they were going off the scale they were so strong and they’re like, ‘That was a strong one,’ and I’m like, ‘Ya reckon!’,” she said.

Throughout her pregnancy she suffered from Hyperemesis gravidarum and was sick right until the very end and was vomiting with every contraction.

“As soon as the placenta was delivered the morning sickness lifted, I stopped vomiting, I stopped feeling nauseas, I just felt like a new person and I had so much energy,” she said.

Hall’s goal was to “survive” pregnancy and the sickness that came with it but she couldn’t be happier now to be a mum.

Both Hall and Kavalee are wrapped up in newborn bliss and loving every minute of their new life as a family of three.
