Pink posts a gym selfie and tells fellow new mums to ‘stay off the scales’

PINK has taken to Instagram to post an inspiring photo encouraging other new mums to ignore the pressures of losing the notorious ‘baby weight’.

PINK welcomed her second baby a little over three months ago and now she’s encouraging other new mums to fight against the public pressure of losing the post-pregnancy weight.

Taking to Instagram, the singer posted a photo of herself in the middle of a gym session in workout gear.

“Would you believe I’m 160 pounds (72kgs) and 5’3”? By ‘regular standards’ that makes me obese,” she wrote.

“I know I’m not at my goal or anywhere near it after Baby two but dammit I don’t feel obese. The only thing I’m feeling is myself. Stay off that scale ladies!” the singer added.

It didn’t take long for Pink’s millions of Instagram followers to flood the photo with supportive comments.

The singer was especially praised by other new mums struggling with post-baby standards.

One user wrote “Thanks @pink it’s great to hear a celebrity speak about something I struggle with everyday” while another commented “‘Obese’ is not the word that comes to mind. Gorgeous? Strong? Yes. Those words.”

Pink gave birth to her second child Jameson Moon Hart on December 26 last year.

It was her and motocross rider Carey Hart’s second child after she gave birth to a daughter named Willow in June, 2011.

The couple married in 2006 however have not always had the smoothest of relationships.

They separated in 2008 after cheating allegations with Hart starring in the singer’s So What video to deal with their separation.

After undergoing marriage counselling, the couple reconciled in 2010 with Pink announcing her pregnancy the same year.

Since their reconciliation, the family seems to be happier than ever with the singer constantly posting adorable family shots to her Instagram page.
