One of Hollywood’s most well-known actors has shared a sweet birthday tribute to his son – who looks exactly like him.

Michael J. Fox has posted a rare picture of his lookalike son, Sam, in a sweet birthday tribute.

The Back To The Future actor, 61, shared an album of pictures on Instagram in honour of his eldest child’s 34th birthday.

“Happy birthday to my big bouncing baby boy, you are the best. Proud to be your pops. Love you!” Fox wrote alongside an image of Sam blowing out candles on an enormous cake.

Fox’s post comes just weeks after his heartbreaking interview with American current affairs program CBS Sunday Morning, in which he admitted his 30-year battle with Parkinson’s is “getting harder”.

“I’m not gonna be 80,” he said during the program.

“I’m not gonna lie. It’s getting hard, it’s getting harder. It’s getting tougher. Every day it’s tougher.”

He added that the “big killer” of Parkinson’s disease is “falling” and can also be “aspirating food and getting pneumonia,” explaining it is “all these subtle ways that gets you”.

“You don’t die from Parkinson’s. You die with Parkinson’s,” Fox said.

“So – so I’ve been – I’ve been thinking about the mortality of it.”

Fox also recently gave credit to Leonardo DiCaprio for inadvertently helping to give him a “peaceful” nudge toward quitting acting for good.

Amid his Parkinson’s battle, Fox began a “second retirement” in 2020 after initially returning to work.

In an interview with Empirelast month, Fox opened up about the surprising factor in his decision: DiCaprio’s role in Quentin Tarantino’s 2019 Once Upon A Time … In Hollywood.

He was filming The Good Fight at the time, and his disease had left him struggling to remember his lines.

“I thought of Once Upon A Time … In Hollywood,” he said. “There’s a scene where Leonardo DiCaprio’s character can’t remember his lines any more. He goes back to his dressing room and he’s screaming at himself in the mirror. Just freaking insane. I had this moment where I was looking in the mirror and thought, ‘I cannot remember it any more. Well, let’s move on.’ It was peaceful.”
