SARAH Harris has done something many of us have considered doing while watching DIY beauty clips on YouTube with a glass of wine.

She’s attempted a home haircut. And it didn’t go to plan.

Thankfully, the Studio 10 host didn’t hack into her own fringe in the family bathroom. Instead, it was her baby son Paul who copped it.

“I cut Paul’s hair. With nail scissors. Note the jagged fringe. I’m in trouble,” she wrote on Instagram alongside a photo of Paul not looking too amused with the snip.

Fans of Harris were quick to respond with their similar home haircut horror stories.

“Stop now Sarah my Mum did mine when I was six and still remember it in not a good way,” one person commented.

“I shaved my little boys head at about that age — with my bikini trimmers #sh*tmum,” another wrote.

And one user offered an extremely wise point that should make Harris feel a little better: Every kid needs at least one bad haircut. It builds character.

“I’ve been there, done that! I thought it looked all right and now that I look back on photos, it really was a horrendous haircut lol. Every kid needs a bad childhood haircut photo!” the user wrote.
